Gentle Somatic Yoga®, Yin Yoga, Slow Flow Somatic Vinyasa and I Am Yoga Nidra®

First Yoga Class

Food & Drink
  • Drink water! Not just the day of your yoga class, but all the time.  Drink at least 1/2 of your body weight in ounces daily.
  • Eating lots before a yoga class is not a good idea. Try to eat an hour or two (or more) before your class. If you do eat before your class, make it something light and small. Eating after class is fine. Yoga can aid digestion and help naturally reset your appetite, too.
Clothing
  • Yoga is traditionally practiced in bare feet – no shoes or socks necessary or recommended.  Remove your shoes, but you can always keep your socks on if you want.
  • Comfortable, breathable clothes are recommended, especially clothes that allow you to stretch easily.
 What to bring
  •  yoga mat
  • yoga blocks and strap
  • thick, mexican blanket or falsa 70 x 54" ( a wool army blanket may work too)

Listen to your body
  • If something hurts, don’t do it! A little discomfort is normal when we move in new ways, but yoga should not cause pain.
  • Listen to your body and if you feel pain, or want to stop for some other reason – it’s fine to stop.

 Yoga in Berrywood

Berrywood yogis practice every Monday and Thursday.  It is a one hour Gentle Somatic yoga class from 9 am - 10 am..  
10:30 - 11:30 Mondays we practice Slow Flow Somatic Vinyasa.

Yoga in Bodkin Yacht Club

The Bodkin group  practices every Tuesday evening. It is a one hour class from 7 pm to 8 pm.
If you plan to participate, please register on the contact page to secure your spot.  You must be a Bodkin Yacht club Member.
​We vary our practice with Gentle Somatic®,  Gentle vinyasa and Yin yoga.
If you have never tried yoga, please email me for a free class!


Private Session

If you have specific needs, injuries or are just a shy wee one, this is a great option for you.  I will design sessions tailored to your specific requests or needs, work with you one on one to learn modifications and provide you with a take home flip card notebook so you may continue practice on your own and build your confidence to be able to join any session you choose.  Contact me for more information.
