About Me

I was a very difficult teen. Desperate to connect, my Mom enrolled us in yoga classes. I was hooked! Yoga has helped me find peace and strength throughout my life. Mom instilled the love of gardening and cooking natural, clean, and healthy foods. As Native Americans, the women in my family were wise to our connection with body and mind, healthy living and the earth, finding the inner sanctuary and compassion for others. Along my path, I am grateful to my yoga teachers who truly walk the path of a yogi. Yoga Michelle Colgain is a culmination of these inspirations . I am honored to teach yoga to inspire others to look within for clear mind, personal strength and open heart, as my Mom still inspires me. I am an experienced, certified Level 1 ,2 and 3 Gentle Somatic Yoga ® and Yin yoga teacher, with 200 hour E-RYT and a certified I am Yoga NIdra.® instructor.
